Invocation

Does a clean Internet still exist without rampant espionage and surveillance? Websites that receive their guests with respect and decency? Information and offers that are presented for their own sake and do not exploit their visitors?

Anyone who runs or knows of such a website is invited to suggest it for inclusion [1]. Preferably by email to: report ("at") clean-web ("dot") org

Requirements

We are looking for websites that meet the following criteria:

without any tracking
without AI or connections to it
content not outsourced to external services (CDN)
no external servers are contacted
no external scripts are integrated
cookies are only set when they are required (member/customer areas, shopping/comment functions)
statistics are anonymized and limited to the bare essentials, ideally they are omitted
the privacy policy is short and formulated in a way that is understandable for laypeople
advertising that meets the above conditions is permitted

In parallel, a directory for content based on the Gemini protocol is planned. Reporting of corresponding offers is therefore also expressly requested. [2]

Please note: Websites that glorify violence, fascism, racism, discrimination, war, religious fundamentalism, any kind of fanaticism and illegal acts will be rejected!

[1] We would love to offer a form for all reports, but the criminal freaks will only see it as an invitation to bombard us with their rubbish. We would be very happy if someone knows of a safe solution and can recommend it to us.

[2] We are big supporters of a simple network where information is the focus, as the gemini protocol enables. Although there are already offers for an overview and search within the gemini universe, we are of the opinion that there can never be enough information, explanations and recommendations to make its existence better known. We are very interested in promoting this simple parallel world. Work to publish these websites there is underway and should be completed soon. Their launch will then be announced here.
